Disc Golf, also called Frisbee Golf, is played along the same concept as regular golf, except the players use a small Frisbee-type disc that they toss from "hole" to "hole." Learn how to do the right backhand throw—one of the most common disc golf throws—so you can impress your next Frisbee golf opponent.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Hold the disc like you would a paper plate, with your grip along the right side, thumb rested atop the edge of the disc and pointer finger extended around the outer edge of the disc.

  2. Step 2

Give your disc curve if your target hole isn't a straight shot. Tilt the edge opposite your hand (if you hold the disc with your left hand, this would be the right edge) downwards to make the disc curve from the right to the left (called a skip curve). If you tilt that same edge upward, the disc curves from left to right (called a roll curve).

  3. Step 3

Stand with your right shoulder towards the target hole. Feet should be planted, shoulder-width apart with your knees bent.

  4. Step 4

Bring the disc back, almost next to your left shoulder. Keep your elbow slightly bent.

  5. Step 5

Extend your right arm, with a quick thrust forward. At the same time lift your right foot and step forward, towards your target hole. Once your arm points at the target hole, release the disc with a powerful flick of your wrist.

  6. Step 6

Follow through with the release. Allow your arm and body to turn with the extension. Let it stop at its natural stopping point.
