Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start by finding a hip hop club where you want to battle. Ask your friends if they want to do some freestyle rapping and then sign both of your names up for the competition.

  2. Step 2

Practice at home with your friends. Write down and practice your lyrics as much as possible until they flow just right. You will always have to have a rebuttal rap against your competition so you have to be on top of things.

  3. Step 3

Choose a judge for your rap battle and ask them to judge fairly on who is the best rapper out of the group. Keep it a friendly experience and do your best to win your spot at the end.

  4. Step 4

Pick on yourself. This technique will steal the thunder from your opponent and he won't be able to criticize you in his rap. Your opponent will lose his power in rapping and be dry of any fuel to burn you with.

  5. Step 5

Work on your lyrics. Rap doesn't always have to rhyme, you just need to have a great flow of words and make sense. Enjoy your rap battle and have a good laugh with your friends.
