Build a master keyword list for Google Adwords by using your website's content as a guide. Determine the objective of your website and what your goal is in beginning of an Adwords campaign. If your objectives are well defined, your keyword list reflects your goal and improves the chances of being successful.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Attract new visitors to your site by using online keyword generator tools that scour your website and list the main keywords that search engines see on your website. Input these keywords into your keyword list (see Resources).
Step2
Ask family and friends what are words they would use to locate your website. Use an online dictionary or thesaurus to find keywords. Assess the information and look for words that coincide with the initial list you've generated.
Step3
Review your content for key phrases which are groups of two or more words used within your content. Key phrases are effective and must be part of your Adwords campaign and equally effective for natural search engine positioning. Your Adword campaign master keyword list is now complete.
Step4
Target a certain geographical location if possible. Many search engines offer local search engine results, if your website is relevant to one particular location use that location as a keyword or part of a keyword phrase within your Adwords master keyword list.
