Start with a clean fresh canvas to work with. Clean and exfoliate your entire face, paying special attention to your lips. Use an exfoliant for sensitive skin and gently massage it into the lip area before rinsing.

Pat your lips dry and apply a thin layer of moisturizer with added sunscreen to lock in the moisture and protect your lips.

Sharpen your lip liner and make sure you have good lighting to apply your lip products. For perfect lips, use a very sharp lip pencil.

Use light gentle strokes to outline your lips. Draw right on the edge of your lips for the most natural look. If you apply liner farther out, you may end up with a clown look. Keep your head straight and look in mirror while you apply the liner.
