Things You'll Need:
- Deep conditioner
- 1 Tbsp. baking soda
- Ripe tomato
- Fork
- Bowl
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 cucumber

Step 1
Deep condition your hair before you enter the pool. Not only will a heavy conditioner help to create a protective barrier on your hair, it will also help to remove the chlorine easily after swimming.

Place 1 Tbsp. of baking soda in your palm and add your shampoo, mixing thoroughly between your palms. Gently massage the shampoo and baking soda into your hair and rinse thoroughly. Finish with a conditioner. Use this baking soda treatment as soon as possible after leaving the pool.

Mash a ripe tomato into a pulp with a fork and massage into damp hair. Leave the tomato for 10 minutes and then shampoo as usual. This method to remove chlorine from hair can be used two or three times a week and will help to prevent your hair from turning green due to exposure to chlorine.

Combine 1 egg, 2 Tbsp. of olive oil and 1 small peeled, cucumber in a blender. Blend until smooth and then apply to dry hair, working from tips to roots. Leave for 15 minutes and then rinse with warm water. This treatment, used once a month, will not only help to protect your hair and remove chlorine, it will also moisturize dry hair due to exposure to pool chemicals.
