How to Throw Cards
Throwing playing cards is a skill which has to be practiced. Playing cards are stiff and can fly with amazing accuracy. When held properly and thrown by someone with experience, playing cards can fly 10 feet or more. Cards are traditionally thrown into a hat but any container can be used.
Instructions

1
Hold the playing cards with the index finger and thumb. The card should held firmly with freedom of movement.
-
2
Place the index finger beneath the playing card to act as a pivot around which the car can rotate. The middle finger is bent slightly to steady the playing card before it is thrown.
-
-
3
Curl the ring finger and the little finger out of the way. These two fingers are not necessary for throwing cards.
-
4
Rest the right hand against the body with the elbow bent. The arm will be used like the arm on a skeet shooting machine.
-
5
Bend the wrist until the corner of the card touches the palm. This is the start position.
-
6
Swing the wrist and arm forward and release the card as the elbow is fully extended. The card will fly straight and swiftly with practice. The card should fly flat like a small Frisbee.

The best tip I was ever given was, rather trying to throw the card, try to spin it with the flick from your wrist. At first, practice making the card spin, but don't try and throw it as you'll just find it flutters uselessly. When you can get the card to spin, then try using a little forward motion with your arm
