How to Correct Irregular Tire Wear
Inspect your tires often for irregular wear so you can correct the underlying issue as soon as possible. This will help avoid further damage to your tires and possibly to your vehicle. Replacing the tire will not correct irregular wear.

1
Check the air pressure in all of your tires. If one or more of your tires is low in air pressure, it'll cause irregular tire wear and increase your chances of experiencing a blowout while driving.
-
2
Inspect your car for proper alignment. Pull your car up to a garage door at night and turn on your headlights. The lights you see on the garage door should be of equal height. If one is higher than the other, you need to have your car realigned.

3
Ask your mechanic to check out your steering and suspension systems. If your steering or suspension systems need repair, either one of or a combination of the two will cause irregular tire wear.
-
4
Rotate your tires annually. If you tend to hit the curb while parking, rotating will share the stress among all the tires, instead of just one.
-
5
Pay attention to how you turn corners. Hard cornering is a term used by mechanics to describe people who wait until the last second to turn a corner, then pull the steering wheel sharply to one direction. This causes undo stress on the tires. Corner more slowly to correct this kind of irregular tire wear.
