Things You'll Need:
- Microsoft Word 2007

Step 1
Start Microsoft Word 2007 and open a document that contains unformatted text you need to find.

Click the "Home" tab at the top of the Word 2007 screen to display the Home ribbon. Click the "Find" button in the "Editing" section at the far right of the Home ribbon. The "Find and Replace" dialog box will display. Select the "Find" tab at the top of the dialog box if necessary.

Step 3
Verify that there is nothing in the "Find what" text box. If the text box contains text then delete it from the text box.

Use the "More" button in the bottom left corner of the "Find and Replace" dialog box to see it expanded with more options.

Select the "Format" button in the "Find" section at the bottom of the "Find and Replace" dialog box. Choose "Font" from the list of options. The "Find Font" dialog box will open.

Step 6
Uncheck the character attributes under the "Effects" section of the "Find Font" dialog box to indicate the character attributes you don't want the text you are searching for to have.

Step 7
Choose the "OK" button to close the "Find Font" dialog box. Select the "Find Next" button from the "Find and Replace" dialog box to find the unformatted text.
