For all you 80s fashionistas out there, a high-side pony tail is a great way to go whether you just want to rock to music from the good old days or bring back that retro feeling. You can assemble this flirty "do" quickly.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Wash and dry your hair.

  2. Step 2

Gather your hair and brush it to one side slightly behind your ear. Height may vary depending on how funky you want to look.

  3. Step 3

Wrap a holder around the ponytail. For true 80s style, get your ponytail as tight as possible. If it hurts, you have it right. Wrap a scrunchie around your ponytail, preferably a neon-colored one.

  4. Step 4

Style your ponytail with a crimping iron if you have straight hair. If you have curly hair, tease your ponytail to really pump up the volume.

  5. Step 5

Finish with a can of hairspray to set your style and give it that lacquered look. If you have bangs, curl with a 1-inch curling iron, fluff and spray generously.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a firm styling product, such as gel or firm hold mousse, if you desire a puffier look.
  • Avoid open flames while sporting this hairstyle as hairspray and fire don't mix.
