How to Create a Profile on Amazon
Creating a profile on Amazon's official Web site can enhance your Amazon shopping experience. Profiles help you keep in touch with friends and family and also keep track of your recent and future purposes. Your profile also displays your Amazon Listamania! lists and an events calendar.

Log on to Amazon's official Web site using your email and verified password. Locate and click on the part of the navigation area at the top of the page that says your name and "Amazon.com." For example, if your name were Jim, this part would say "Jim's Amazon.com." Select "Your Profile" from the new navigation menu.

Locate the "About Me" section and click "Edit." Add details about yourself such as a nickname, birthday, anniversary, Web page address and interests. Type a paragraph or two in the "In My Own Words..." section to further customize your profile. Indicate who can access this part of your profile by selecting "Only Me," "Friends" or "Everyone." Save your changes.

Find the "Favorite Items" section and click "Edit." Add your favorite books, movies, music and other items to your profile by using the provided buttons. You may also add introductions to your favorite items.

Create and manage lists using the side navigation bar. Wish lists and baby and wedding registries can be made using the profile editing tool.

Set reminders on your profile using the provided calendar.

Invite friends and family to your profile page by inputting their email addresses and pressing "Go." Add these people to your profile so that you can keep track of them.

Upload a picture to your profile that others will see. Some users choose to upload pictures of themselves, while others select pictures of scenes or items that represent them.
