A colorful silk scarf adds chic sophistication to a business suit and subtle elegance to a casual outfit. The turtleneck knot will keep your neck warm as it keeps you in style.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Bring the points of a square scarf together to make a triangle.

  2. Step 2

Hold the scarf in front of your neck so that the broad point faces down.

  3. Step 3

Tie the ends around the back of your neck, and then bring them to the front. Tie a square knot to secure. Center the knot.

  4. Step 4

Let the broad point lie between the angles of a V-neck sweater or over the edges of a crewneck top. Or tuck it under the placket of a blouse. Open the first button and allow the fabric to drape in the opening.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remove the label on the scarf so that it doesn't hang out and disrupt the look you've created. Gently loosen the string that attaches it to the body of the scarf and clip using a very small pair of scissors.
  • Clean scarves at least once a season - or more depending on frequency of wear. Check care instruction.
  • Press your scarf before you wear it to keep the ends flat and the body free of wrinkles.
  • A scarf tied in a turtleneck knot will appear to shorten the length of the neck. This look may not flatter a short neck.
