How to Make Easy Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

This easy-to-make chocolate frosting will cover an 8-inch, round layer cake.

Things You'll Need:

• 6-oz. bag semisweet chocolate chips
• 1/2 c. sour cream
• 1/8 tsp. salt
• 6-oz. Bag Semisweet Chocolate Chips
• Groceries
• Double Boilers
• Kitchen Knives Or Spatula
• Mixing Bowls
• Stirring Spoons
• Mixing bowls
• 1/8 tsp. salt
• 1/2 cup sour cream

1. Boil water in a double boiler or in the microwave.

2. 
    

   Melt the chocolate in the top of the double boiler or in a bowl placed over the heated water.

3. 
    

   Allow chocolate to cool slightly.

4. 
    

   Stir in sour cream and salt.

5. Frost the top of one cake layer.

6. Put the second layer on top of the first.

7. Frost the top and sides of the cake.

Tips & Warnings

• Let cake cool before frosting. Icing may not set if put on a warm cake.
