Open the Apple menu (click on the little apple in the upper left corner of your screen), and choose either About This Macintosh or About This Computer.

Tips & Warnings
For computers with System 7.6 and later, use the Apple System Profiler program in the Apple menu to see other details about your computer hardware and software.
If your computer becomes slow when you open multiple programs or large documents, you might consider adding more RAM. Check the specifications that came with your computer to see what its expansion possibilities are. If these problems occur only with a particular program, try increasing the amount of memory allotted to that program (see "How to Increase the Memory for a Macintosh Application," under Related eHows).
