on 1/15/2009 You should mention that you should use silicone ice cube trays. I used regular ones and I could not get the food out of the tray without thawing it some first, which is too much hassle. With silicone trays, they slide right out.

on 11/13/2008 Some baby food can be kept longer and some food should not be frozen ever. Banana's I noticed have a funny smell and taste after freezing and pumpkin I read can be frozen for several months. You can also buy freezer bags at the 99 cent store which is pretty awesome. I just take a spoonful or two of baby food and place it into the bag then thaw in warm (not hot) water. If the water is too hot you can lose nutrients and burn baby's mouth.
