Take it easy: Careful parallel parking saves years of wear on your hubcaps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • New Hubcaps
  • Large Screwdriver Sets
  • Pry Bars
  • Rubber Mallets
  • Rubber mallets
  1. Step 1

Determine how the hubcaps are attached. Some simply push on, others have a small screw holding them on, and a few won't come off unless you take the lug nuts off.

  2. Step 2

Depending on what type of hubcap your car has, either unscrew the screw that holds the hubcap on, or with a large screwdriver or a pry bar, pry the hubcap off the wheel.

  3. Step 3

Place a new hubcap on the wheel.

  4. Step 4

Strike the edge lightly with a rubber mallet and work around the rim of the hubcap with the mallet until it's seated, or screw the screw back in.

  5. Step 5

    Repeat for each hubcap.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid hitting the hubcap too hard with the mallet; a soft tap should do.
