Step 1
On the Web, go to the U.S. Servas website.

Read the information on becoming a member of the Servas organization.

Step 3
Several months before your trip, apply to Servas. References will be required.

If you are not accepted into Servas, contact friends who may know people overseas. Also use people in business, the travel industry, airlines and media as resources.

Step 5
Once you have the name of your host, contact by email first, then telephone to introduce yourself.

Step 6
Confirm addresses and dates before departure.

Go on your trip.
