A chalkboard makes it easy to mark your turn to play. If there is none, follow the bar's rules of etiquette.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Quarters
  • Pool Cue Carrying Cases
  • Pool Cues (optional)
  1. Step 1

Look to see if there is a chalkboard on the wall near the pool table.

  2. Step 2

Put your name on it and wait your turn.

  3. Step 3

Find out how much it costs to play on the table if there is no chalkboard.

  4. Step 4

Wait until there's a break in the game going on, then place the appropriate number of quarters on the felt along the edge of the table below the bumper.

  5. Step 5

Put your quarters next to other quarters that are already there, and remember your place in line.

  6. Step 6

    Wait your turn.

  7. Step 7

Pay for the game when your turn comes. If you win, you get to keep playing, and the next person playing pays.

  8. Step 8

Sit down if you lose and repeat steps 1 through 7.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the quarters are on the edge of the table instead of on the felt, put yours there.
  • If you're not sure how the system works, ask.
  • If you are out of the room or in the restroom when your name is called, you may lose your turn.

on 1/31/2006 In some places you may have to win the pool table, beware of this, because the people who are on it currently have probably beaten many people before them. You may not have to win the table, after you have placed your coin on the table and it is your turn the table is free for you to use and go against who you wish to play. This happens a lot in Europe.

on 11/22/2005 Stack another coin on top of your quarters to remember where you are. The highest coin denomination goes first. If you have a nickel on your stack, you shoot third - quarter, dime, nickel, penny.
