Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Cut a 1.5-inch by 1.5-inch adhesive cork into four equal squares.

  2. Step 2

Stick each square to the underside of a CD near the outer rim.

Tips & Warnings
  • Recycle CDs that Internet access companies send you in the mail.
  • Teachers and nonprofit organizations can ask U.S. Postal Service carrier stations for the undeliverable CDs and other craft items that are normally thrown away. Address a letter to the U.S. Postal Service station manager and make arrangements to pick these items up regularly.

on 11/22/2005 If you're a painter, you can paint beautiful designs, florals and landscape scenes on them. Just paint the CD Kiltz, let dry, basecoat, paint your design, seal. It's a fun project!

on 11/22/2005 I like to cut 2 circles of felt just slightly bigger than the CDs. Put one on each side of the CD and do a blanket stitch around the edge to hold them together and keep the CD inside. This makes a nice looking coaster. The felt soaks up moisture, and the CD actually helps hot drinks stay hot.

on 11/22/2005 Put pictures of your children, grandkids, or pets on your CD's then decoupage them several times. Put felt on the bottom last or little wooden blocks to hold the CD. These make great gifts for those you love.

on 11/22/2005 You know how you get all those AOL disks in the mail? Well, put 'em to good use! And, an added bonus, take the CD and use it as a Frisbee for your dog.

on 11/22/2005 Use clear laminating sheet/clear shelf contact paper to cover the CD on both sides. Use an X-acto knife to cut around the CD. This will prevent any scratching on the CD and preserve its luminating glow.
