If you are a woman with one of those button-down shirts, you could always leave it unbuttoned and tie the two sides together. It's almost like a shrug and it looks pretty with a complementing camisole underneath.

Your aloha shirt should have a nice, easy fit. A size "L" shirt stretched tight across a size "XL" belly looks terrible!

Wear a Reyn Spooner brand shirt. These shirts are the formal wear of aloha shirts. These shirts are worn by business men downtown, and they are always acceptable attire at weddings. The shirts are an aloha print turned inside out, for a more muted effect. They are not quite so loud in color.
