Cocktail onions are always the garnish of choice in the sophisticated Gibson, which packs a powerful punch. (With an olive garnish, it would be a martini.) Serves one.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • ice
  • liquor
  • 2 oz. gin
  • cocktail glasses
  • 1/2 oz. dry vermouths
  • 2 or 3 cocktail onions
  • stirrers
  • lemon twists
  • Ice

  • Stirrers
  • 1/2 oz. dry vermouths
  • 2 or 3 cocktail onions
  • 2 oz. gin
  1. Step 1

    Pour gin and dry vermouth into a mixing glass with ice.

  2. Step 2

    Stir four times.

  3. Step 3

    Strain into a cocktail glass.

  4. Step 4

    Drop in a couple of cocktail onions and garnish with a lemon twist.

Tips & Warnings
  • The less vermouth used, the drier the drink.
  • Try vodka instead of gin.
  • Mixed drinks contain alcohol, so use moderation.
  • Never drink and drive.
