1. Turn on thermometer.

2. Follow manufacturer's directions exactly.

3. Remove from ear when thermometer beeps.

4. Read digital display.

• An ear thermometer may not give an accurate reading if you have an ear infection. If you take a temp in both ears and get two different readings, you should use a different method of taking your temperature.
