on 6/19/2009 use the ice method, then a mild cleaner - wax has an oil in it, and mild soap and water (like dish detergent) should take it off once the hard wax is gone.

on 1/6/2006 For wooden surfaces that you do not want scratched, do not scrape it off as this could damage the surface. Instead, use a hair dryer on high to warm it up and melt it and a paper towel to wipe it off. Keep doing this until the wax is gone. Then you can use warm soap and water or Goo Gone to wash off any of the wax residue.

on 11/22/2005 In order not to damage the surface, a good way to scrape wax from hard surfaces is to use a credit card. A credit card has a sharp edge, but is not hard enough to scratch the surface. Avoid using metal objects such as knives.

on 11/22/2005 I used massage oil. I applied it to the wax, then I scraped it off using a knife. You can hardly tell that wax was ever there!
