There are a variety of natural facials that you can mix and apply yourself. Below is a simple herbal facial that is easy to make and feels great on your skin.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dried Herbs
  • Mild Facial Cleansers
  • Blenders
  • Wire Whisks
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. dry milk
  • 1 eggs white
  1. Step 1

Cleanse your face thoroughly before you begin, making sure all makeup is removed.

  2. Step 2

Combine 1 egg white, 1 tbsp. dry milk, 1 tsp. honey and 1/4 tsp. of an herb such as chamomile flowers, fennel, parley, lemongrass or mint leaves.

  3. Step 3

Whisk or blend at low speed for 2 minutes, or until mixture is creamy.

  4. Step 4

    Apply to face and throat.

  5. Step 5

Let the mask set for 15 minutes. Sit back and relax.

  6. Step 6

Rinse the mask off entirely with warm water.

Tips & Warnings
  • To make a honey mask, replace these ingredients with 1 tsp. honey, 1 tsp. finely ground fennel seed, 1 tsp. olive oil and 1 egg yolk. Follow the steps above, but leave it on your face for 30 minutes before washing.
  • After you cleanse and before you apply the mask, you may want to steam your face to eliminate toxins (see "Give Yourself a Facial," under Related eHows). Steam your face for 8 to 10 minutes and then apply the mask.

on 2/12/2007 1 tomato, ripe, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon instant style oatmeal or old-fashioned rolled oats

Blend everything until just combined. Apply to skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay on blemished areas: cheeks, forehead, or chin. If necessary, add a bit more oatmeal to thicken the mask. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then scrub it off with a clean washcloth dipped in warm water.

on 8/25/2006 Cucumber Facial:
1 cucumber
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon witch hazel (you can buy this in any drug store)
1 egg white, beaten with an electric beater until fluffy.

Peel the cucumber and run it through a blender or a food processor. Pour the cucumber pulp into a colander or strainer and force it through, catching the liquid that comes out in a bowl underneath. Combine the cucumber liquid with the lemon juice and the witch hazel. Stir it and add the beaten egg white gently. Put it on your face and leave it on for 15 to 25 minutes. Rinse off. Wonderful.
