How to Remove Red Wine Stains From Upholstery

Things You'll Need:

  • Brushes
  • Sponges
  • Salt
  • Salt
  • Talcum Powder
  • Paper Towels
  • Paper Towels
  • Paper towels

  • Sponges
  • Salt
  1. Step 1

    Blot the fresh stain with paper towels.

  2. Step 2

    Sponge with warm water to dilute the stain.

  3. Step 3

    Blot again.

  4. Step 4

    Apply talcum powder to any remaining stain.

  5. Step 5

    Let the powder stand for two to three minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Gently brush off talcum powder.

  7. Step 7

    Repeat sponging and blotting if stain persists.

on 11/22/2005 Blot red wine with a paper towel and pour white wine on the red wine spill. Blot the wine again. You may have to repeat this step.
