The body needs vitamin D to properly use calcium and phosphorus and to assimilate vitamin A.

Things You'll Need:

  • Dairy Products
  • Eggs
  • Livers
  • Milk
  • Salmon
  • Cod-liver Oils
  1. Step 1

    Add fortified milk and other dairy products to your diet.

  2. Step 2

    Eat eggs, liver and oily fish such as salmon.

  3. Step 3

    Supplement your diet with cod-liver oil.

  4. Step 4

    Drink in sunlight to get your vitamin D - spend about 15 to 20 minutes in the sun three times a week.

Tips & Warnings
  • Winter sun may not be strong enough to get enough vitamin D, especially if you live in a northern region with limited daylight hours.
