Spring break is a much-appreciated break from school. Whether you are in college or grade school, everyone looks forward to the time off to have fun and relax. Here are some ideas on how to have fun during spring break.

From Quick Guide: Get Away for Spring
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find some caves and go spelunking. You can find caves on winding dirt roads on the sides of mountain that house weird creatures such as transparent crabs and odd looking bugs.

  2. Step 2

Grab a friend with a jeep or other four-wheel drive vehicle and explore the back country. You can see a lot of natural beauty when you go off-roading. Make sure to bring a cell phone in case you get stuck.

  3. Step 3

Volunteer to rebuild national park trails. This will give you the opportunity to make a difference while allowing you to spend spring break surrounded by the beauty of the national parks. Visit the Alternative Spring Break Conservation website for projects near you.

  4. Step 4

Visit amusement parks if you have kids or if you're a thrill seeker. Theme parks begin opening their gates right before spring break. Visit the Six Flags website to locate some fun amusement parks near you.

  5. Step 5

Browse your local museums or art galleries if you want to have fun but stay around town for spring break. Take advantage of this extra time to learn about a specific artist that interests you. Log on to the Museums USA website to find museums near you.

Tips & Warnings
  • Grab a friend to go spelunking with you as it isn't safe to go alone.
