How to Dress to Play Baseball
Baseball is a game that has no time limit and will last for as long it takes to complete the game. If a player does not dress appropriately for the game, it can make the length of the game seem even longer than it is. Couple that with the fact that baseball is a summer sport played in hottest months of the year a player must dress correctly to play baseball.

1
Make note of the start time for the baseball game. If the game is during the day it can get especially hot but if it is a night game, the temperature may be cold, depending on the climate of the game's location.
-
2
Bring some form of shaded eyewear to wear during a game especially if you play in the outfield, which requires looking up into sun to catch the baseball. A popular baseball dress accessory is the flip down shades, which allow a player to flip the shades down or up over his or her eyes depending on the field conditions (see Resources).

3
Check the weather report before the game to determine the possible field conditions. If the forecast calls for rain, a person may want to use longer baseball cleats on the shoes for more traction on the wet field.
-
4
Choose clothes that are loose fitting. If you were to dress in tight clothes for an entire baseball game, you'd become uncomfortable on the field.
-
5
Dress in light colors if possible because dark colors absorb heat and can cause a player to overheat during a game. Light colored clothing reflects the sun's rays and can help a player stay cool on the field.
-
6
Wear comfortable socks that will absorb the sweat during a game. Because a person is on his feet a lot during the game, wearing comfortable sweat absorbing socks can keep the feet free of blisters that playing baseball can cause.
