1
Try to understand what happened. Maybe your date forgot about your plans. Maybe he had an emergency. Give your date a call and leave a voice mail message if you have to. Alternatively, send your date a quick email or an instant message simply asking what happened. Try to avoid jumping to conclusions until you know the real deal.

2
Call a friend to go out with you instead. If you find that your date stood you up, there is no point in sitting around in your fancy clothes for nothing. Go out to dinner with a friend or even go see the movie that you were planning to see with your date. Remember to have a good time and make the most of the situation. Having fun with a good friend will help you do just that.

3
Invite some friends over to your house instead. Order in a pizza or watch movies. If you find yourself stood up and don't feel like going out, invite people over. You can still have a good time even if you stay home.

4
Spend some time by yourself. Sometimes, the best remedy for being stood up is to simply to take some time to be alone. You may choose to stay home, eat yummy takeout and go to bed early, or you can go out on the town by yourself. Try to keep yourself busy, however. If you sit around doing nothing, you will likely feel more upset.

5
Start to move on. If your date has stood you up on purpose, moving on will be your best bet. Try to remember that you will find that special someone who values and appreciates you. Your date that stood you up just isn't worthy of your love and affection.
