How to Make a Pumpkin Hat for Halloween
Pumpkins are a symbol of fall and a bounteous harvest, but they also symbolize Halloween. Make a pumpkin hat this Halloween to wear to all of the holiday parties and festivities. Things You'll Need
- Orange tissue paper
- Green poster paper
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Tape
- Brown duct tape
- 2 heavy paper clips
- Bubble wrap or extra tissue
- Green head band

Measure and cut a strip of green card stock that is 26 inches long by 3 inches wide. Trim the tissue paper to measure 20 inches by 30 inches.

Fold each piece of orange tissue paper in half lengthwise. Pleat the long edge of one piece of folded tissue so that it fits within a 10-inch section of the green head band. Tape the tissue to the band. Repeat with the other two sheets of tissue.

Place the front of the hat on the wearer's forehead with the taped side in. Wrap the two ends of the hat to the back. Secure the hat in place with two paper clips. Remove the hat and then tape the band in place.

Grab the top edges of the orange tissue paper and gather them to the center of the hat. Secure the edges together with brown duct tape to make the pumpkin stem. Trim any loose edges off the top of the stem.

Stuff the inside of the pumpkin hat with more tissue paper or with bubble wrap to keep it's shape.

Wear the hat to all of your Halloween activities. Get out of wearing a costume when you don this festive hat instead.
