The homepage function is especially useful for large lectures and distance education classes. Read on to learn how to set up a homepage in Blackboard.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Login to your Blackboard account. Most colleges have a link to Blackboard in the student portal system of their website. You may also contact your college's information technology department to obtain the direct address.

  2. Step 2

Select the class that requires the homepage to be set up under the "Courses in which you are enrolled:" heading on the right side of the page. If you are required to create a homepage for more than one class, you need to set each one up individually.

  3. Step 3

Choose the "Course Tools" option in the navigation bar on the right-hand side of the web page. Find this option at the bottom of the page.

  4. Step 4

Click on the "Homepage" link in the alphabetized list in the main page.

  5. Step 5

Complete the form. It will ask you to provide an introduction of yourself, some personal information and favorite websites. You may also upload a picture of yourself to your home page.

  6. Step 6

Submit your web page at the bottom of the form. The submit button is the bottom right button.

  7. Step 7

Confirm your home page by clicking on the "OK" button.
