Some people think of aliens as little green men and others think of aliens looking like E.T. from the movie. Because of this wide range, you can have fun creating your picture. Read on to learn how to draw an alien.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Imagine your alien. Picture its face, skin, height and weight. Make sure that you think about all of the specific details you want your alien to have. For instance, an alien can have 10 eyes on two heads, three arms and five legs.

  2. Step 2

Decide on how you want your alien to appear in the picture. You can draw your alien playing sports, coming out of a space ship or in any other scenario that you can imagine.

  3. Step 3

Start to sketch your alien. It is usually easiest to start by drawing the alien's head. Focus on the basic outline of your alien.

  4. Step 4

Draw the alien's facial features. You can be as simple or elaborate as you want with the alien's face. If you are drawing a funny alien, you can make the eyes different sizes or the nose can be under the mouth. It is all up to you.

  5. Step 5

Add features to your alien. You can add a space suit, details on its face or body or clothing, for example. Now is the time to color your alien's skin if it is supposed to be a color other than the color of the paper.

  6. Step 6

Include a background to your picture. This will help to tell the alien's story. For example, if your alien is a basketball player, draw it on a basketball court.
