Things You'll Need:

  • Wooden cutting board
  • Microwave
  • Anti-bacterial cleansing agents
  • Sponges
  • Bottled or sterilized water
  • Oregano
  1. Step 1

Use a wooden cutting board in the kitchen. Contrary to popular belief, wooden boards are easiest to clean and harbor fewer bacteria. After using, wash the cutting board thoroughly and then place it in the microwave for two or three minutes to kill any bacteria that may cause food poisoning. Plastic boards do not heat up enough in the microwave you kill the bacteria on them in a high temperature dishwasher.

  2. Step 2

Handle raw meats and eggs with care in the kitchen, never allowing juices to drop onto other foods, particularly in the refrigerator. Try to work with meats and eggs over the skin where the juices are contained and easily cleaned. Always cook meats and eggs.

  3. Step 3

Wipe up any drippings or questionable surfaces with anti-bacterial cleansing agents and a sponge. Rinse the sponge thoroughly and then place it in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds to kill any bacteria.

  4. Step 4

Drink bottled or sterilized water in areas where the water supply is questionable. Additionally, it is advisable to avoid raw foods when eating in a restaurant, particularly if you are traveling in a foreign country.

  5. Step 5

Boil 1 qt. of water and then remove from heat, adding 3 tbsp. of oregano. Cover and allow to steep for 20 minutes. Drink the tea throughout the day if you feel you might be have eaten some bad food and continue until you are sure the symptoms have passed. Oregano is powerful natural medicine that helps to clear the body of harmful microbes and is far less expensive than traditional medication.
