Things You'll Need:
- Wallpaper

- Roller
- Level
- Scissors

Step 1
Find non-woven wallpaper. Non-woven paper does not expand or shrink with water. It is washable and eco-friendly as well. Most wallpaper books that feature non-woven wallpaper are labeled on the front as such.
-
Step 2
Choose paste-the-wall wallpaper. Instead of soaking the paper in water like pre-glued paper, the glue is applied directly to the wall. Paint the watery glue onto the wall with a large roller. Put the dry wallpaper on the wall right on top of the glue.
-
Step 3
Put up wallpaper that is plain in color for a quick and easy installation. This saves much time and effort spent on trying to match patterns.
-
Step 4
Use patterns in your décor by putting them only on one wall. This style is very popular. Put a plain color on the remaining three walls that compliments the pattern or leave the other walls bare.
-
Step 5
Start with the least conspicuous corner to hang the first panel of wallpaper. Ensure the wallpaper is straight by using a level. The most important panel of wallpaper is the first, which will set the standard for the entire room.
-
Step 6
Leave two inches extra at the top and bottom when cutting the wallpaper. This will be trimmed off after you hang the wallpaper. The extra inches leave wiggle room for mess-ups.
