How to Deal With Stressful Situations at School

Stressful situations occur often at school. The first day of school is not the only time students feel stress. The school day is long and many events throughout the day, such as lunchtime, PE, and math can be stressful. Learning ways to deal with stressful school situations makes attending school a more pleasant experience.

Instructions

    • 1

Take a deep breath when first encountering a stressful situation. The oxygen from a few good deep breaths clears your head.

    • 2

Ask for help from your principal, guidance counselor, teacher or friends. The amount of stress you feel is quickly reduced when you realize you don't have to deal with the situation alone.

    • 3

Confront bullies or troublemakers. Stand your ground and refuse to be
abused. Bullies often look for someone to intimidate in order to make themselves feel more important. Don't give them that opportunity or they will continue to harass you.

    • 4

Study harder. Take time to review the material before exams. Being prepared for a test takes away the stress.

    • 5

Get more rest. A well-rested person is not as stressed out as someone who stays up late on school nights.

    • 6

Eat properly and take vitamin B. Good nutrition coupled with increased Vitamin B levels has been proven to reduce stress.
