To look and feel more healthy can involves better eating habits, exercise and not sweating the small stuff. Follow these tips for being healthy, which can lead to a happy and fruitful life.

  1. Step 1

    Begin moving. Take a 30-minute walk each day during your lunch hour or an evening stroll after dinner. Join a gym, take up a sport or join an exercise class.

  2. Step 2

    Start your day with a healthy breakfast. Include healthy foods in your daily diet, like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and fish. Reduce your sugar intake and eliminate foods high in saturated fats.

  3. Step 3

    Drink water, 6 to 10 glasses per day. Water helps burn calories and reduce hunger. Get enough rest, at least 7 to 8 hours per night.

  4. Step 4

    Relax. Spend time with friends or alone listing to music or watching a movie. Use your pastime to get involved in activities that you are passionate about.

  5. Step 5

    Get organized. Organizing your environment can help you focus and balance home and work effectively.

  • A healthy breakfast gets your metabolism going and helps boost your energy.
  • To determine how much water your body needs each day divide your body weight by two and add 8 ounces for every 30 minutes of activity.
  • Stress is a common reason why people feel unhealthy; give yourself a time-out. Even if it's just a few minutes each day, you'll feel more able to cope with whatever comes your way.
