How to Get the Girl You Like When She Knows You Like Her

Once all the preliminary flirting is over and you have firm confirmation that the girl you like knows that you like her, it is time to make the next move and make her your girlfriend. By now, she should have made it clear that she is unavailable or uninterested, so you don't have to worry about that hurdle. Try a few of these tips to get her to be yours.

1. Ask her out on a date that will give you some alone time and an opportunity to talk. The movies might be good for later dates, but a nice dinner or skating date is best for the first couple times. You should take her to a quiet place where you won't be interrupted or sidetracked by friends.

2. Take her hand on the second date. See if there really is any chemistry between the two of you. By now, you should know a little bit about her and she should know a little about you. If she agreed to a second date, then you probably have some things in common to at least be friends. Handholding will give you a clue if you can be more than friends.

3. Wait a couple days to call her after the second date. Now is the time to put a bit of distance between the two of you and see if she calls you. If she does, it's game over; you win. If she is happy when you do call, then keep going because you are on the right track. If she gets mad that you don't call every day, then she's too clingy and you should back off anyway.

4. Give her a friendship ring or other token and ask her if she will be your exclusive girlfriend. After she says yes, then give her a kiss. She will be flattered that you waited until she was ready and you both felt comfortable with the move.
