“Bacne," a word created by blending the words "back" and "acne," is the slang term used to describe a common skin condition that appears as small, raised pimples on the back. There are many acne-fighting methods available today, but if you want to avoid harsh topical preparations, chemicals and dermatological prescriptions, try this natural remedy to get rid of bacne using vinegar.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Small spray bottle
  • Apple cider vinegar or Japanese rice wine vinegar
  • Water

Step1
Fill a small spray bottle with half water, half vinegar.
Step2
Shake the bottle to combine the 2 ingredients.
Step3
Thoroughly clean the skin on your back as usual.
Step4
Spray your back with the vinegar and water solution. Rub it in with your hands. Allow it to dry overnight. Repeat the process in the morning, allowing the vinegar to dry completely before you get dressed.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you experience any skin irritation or any discomfort that doesn't subside after a few minutes, further dilute the vinegar and water solution. Try a ratio of 3 parts water to 1 part vinegar or even 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar. Slowly increase the amount of vinegar in your solution as your body becomes acclimated.
  • You can apply the solution with a cotton ball or pad if you have no spray bottle available.
  • Some people have success leaving the vinegar solution on for only 10 to 15 minutes and then washing it off.
  • Consult a physician if you experience extreme pain or discomfort after applying the vinegar and water solution.
  • The vinegar and water solution can potentially discolor bed linens if you lay in bed before allowing it to dry completely, or even if you allow it to dry but have a tendency to sweat at night.
