For anyone who plays the Sims or Sims 2, having a great party is one of the many fun aspects of the game. This is also important because if you have a bad party, then bad things can happen in your game such as having the annoying mime or the sad clown show up. Open the lot for the family where you want to hold your party. If you don't have enough money to throw a killer party then use a cheat code to get more. In Sims 1 the cheat code to get more money is "rosebud" which you type in the box that pops up after you hold your ctrl, shift and C keys at the same time. This automatically gives you $1,000 Simoleans. Type an exclamation point and semi-colon to get more money after opening the cheat code box. In Sims 2 type "motherlode" in the cheat code box to add $50,000 Simoleans to your game.

Select the buffet table and two end tables from your buy menu so that you can also add a punchbowl. Add extra bathrooms since your guests are going to want to go to the bathroom while they're visiting. Have one of your Sims hire the caterer so that he can come and manage your buffet table and clean up after your Sims.

Add fun things for your Sims guests to do so that they can have fun at your party. Put the dancer's cake in your game to get an exotic dancer. Add the dance floor, hire a disc jockey and keep things moving so that your guests don't get bored.

Add a hacked item that keeps all of your Sims "green" during your party. This is a cheat, but it's a great way to make sure you have a killer party for your Sims. When you do this you might be surprised to have some Sim party crashers show up as well as Drew Carey. When Drew Carey shows at a Sim party that means everything is going well.

Click "invite neighborhood" in Sims 2 so that all of your Sim neighbors show up to your party. For Sims 1 have one of your Sims call a Sim and invite them to a party or get a hack that makes other Sims show up to your party.

There are many different kinds of these items, from coffee makers that give your Sims an extra boost to mirrors they look into that make them happy.
