Step 1
Wash and condition your hair as you normally do. Towel dry your hair until it's damp but not dripping wet.
-
Step 2
Separate a small section of your hair and, holding it away from your head, gently twist it into a long spiraled twist.
-
Step 3
Wrap the length of hair into a tight coil against your head. Secure the coil or mini-bun with bobby pins or hold it tightly in place with your fingers.
-
Step 4
Spray the section with finishing spray or spray gel. Use a shine-enhancing spray to give your hair an extra glossy, sun-kissed look.
-
Step 5
Aim a hair dryer directly at the coiled section and dry it completely. Unwrap the section of hair, unwind it and let it fall into place.
-
Step 6
Repeat the process with the rest of your hair, working in small sections all the way around your head.
-
Step 7
Flip your head upside down once all sections of your hair have been twisted, sprayed and dried. Use your fingers to gently tousle your hair at the roots, working from the base of your neck to your crown or forehead. This will give your hair extra volume and help create that windblown look.
-
Step 8
Spritz the roots of your hair with a little hairspray for some added lift to make your hair look beachy and windswept.
