False eyelashes are the perfect addition to your make regime for a special occasion, as they make your eyes pop for a dramatic effect. Just when you thought learning to apply false eyelashes is enough of a challenge, comes the joy of applying mascara to those gorgeous lashes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Apply your eyeshadow and the false eyelashes and then wait for the glue to dry completely before you apply mascara. Apply eyeliner and touch up your eyeshadow if necessary, making sure you are ready to begin mascara.

  2. Step 2

Remove the wand from your mascara tube and wipe off excess mascara with a piece of tissue. You need very little mascara to blend your lashes with the false lashes, and too much mascara will clump and destroy your beautiful false eyelashes.

  3. Step 3

Rest the mascara wand at the roots of your real lashes and wiggle it back and forth, helping to push the lashes up so that stick and blend with the false lashes.

  4. Step 4

Apply an even coating to both eyes and then gently crimp your eyelashes and the false lashes together with an eyelash curler. Do not squeeze too hard or the false lashes might come loose.

Tips & Warnings
  • Apply makeup remover to your lashes to wash away all of the mascara before you try to remove the false eyelashes. The mascara works like glue, sticking your real lashes to the false lashes, so not washing away the mascara could cause some serious pain as you pull out your own lashes.
