How to Invite Friends to a Google Friend Connect Site

Adding Google Friend Connect to your website makes it more interesting and encourages interaction with site visitors. You can use it to bring more traffic to your site. In order to do that, you need to invite friends and encourage them to invite other friends to connect with you on the site.

Instructions

1. Invite friends right from your web site with the link at the bottom of your members gadget. After you click "Invite your friends" you should see a window. You might need to disable your pop-up blocker in order to see this window.

2. Look at the top of the box to see your friends from various linked networks including Facebook and Google Talk. Click on the image of the person you want to invite to your Web page gadget.

3. Add as many friends to this list as you desire. If you accidentally click a name and change your mind, just click it again to deselect it.

4. Type in addresses for friends you want to invite who are not listed in other networks. You type these addresses into the second box labeled "You can also invite contacts via email."

5. Click "Send invitations." When the friends who are already in a social network join your site, you'll see them automatically connected to you in the friends list.

Tips & Warnings

• Other friends have access to your personal information so if you want some privacy, go into "Settings" in the sign-in gadget and pick your security level for each site you join.
