When you begin to remodel your attic, you find that there are many stairs to mount as you carry all that material and equipment up and down the stairs. A remodeling job doesn't have to be quite as backbreaking. You simply need to use the addition of an extra tool. When you use a crane for attic remodeling, your job goes a lot quicker.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Dumpster or trailer
  • Materials for remodel
  • Workers and flow chart
  • Crane

Step1
Consider renting a crane to remodel the attic. The cost for the crane is in the neighborhood of $500, but the amount varies with locality. A crane is a step saver, back saver and an aid to complete the job rapidly (see Resources below).
Step2
Order all the materials you need before you begin. Measure the area and get prepared for the crane. Since most rent on an hourly or daily basis, you want to get the most use out of the crane you rented for attic remodeling.
Step3
Clean out the attic before you begin the process of remodeling. Take out all valuable items and keepsakes and leave the trash in the attic. Rent a large trailer or dumpster and toss the trash that is small out the window into the trailer or dumpster.
Step4
Line up able workers and create a work flow chart. The day you rent a crane for remodeling, you want to maximize its use and work rapidly.
Step5
Start the rental early in the morning. Begin by removing large trash and debris from the attic with the use of the crane. Some items are too large to throw out by yourself and the crane makes it easier.
Step6
Create a human chain to move the material in from the crane. It helps to have several people to unload the materials that the crane brings up to the attic level. When you use a crane for remodeling, the task of transport is simple.
Step7
Return the crane and finish the rest of the remodeling. You accomplished two things in a short period with the rental of the crane. You removed large debris and waste and brought materials up to the attic level.
