Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Raise the course above where you remove the cracked tile with a pry bar. Place wedges under the pry bar so that you can easily access the batten on which you will nail the concrete tile as you repair a concrete roof.

  2. Step 2

Pull out any broken nails that remain with a set of pliers. Use roof cement to seal any tears in the felt.

  3. Step 3

Follow the manufacturer's instructions as you install a "hanger strip" when you repair a concrete roof.

  4. Step 4

Cut the new tile to size with a wet saw. Make sure you have a masonry blade on the saw.

  5. Step 5

Take out the wedges, slide the new tile up and clip it onto the hanger as you repair a concrete roof.
