Download the Microsoft CE Test Kit. You can find a copy of this free download on the official Microsoft Corporation website. You can also locate help articles to give you tips on how to use the test kit.

Connect the device you wish to test to the software program utilized by the Microsoft CE Test Kit. The device must support the test kit and have the ability to run Clientside.exe, the executable file that tests the device.

Open the Microsoft CE Test Kit after you have established your connection. Before selecting a test kit from the menu, you may want to familiarize yourself with the different tests available. Options include Audio CD Driver Test, Bluetooth Test, Direct3D Driver Test and File System Driver Test.

Choose a test kit from the options listed in the main menu of the Microsoft CE Test Kit. Expand the chosen kit to show all available categories. Right click your mouse on the chosen test category and select "Quick Start."

Wait until the test kit has finished testing the selected driver. Right click on the test to see the results. After you select the test, select "View Results" from the test's menu.
