Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 tsp. water
  • 4 tsp. witch hazel
  • Small plastic spray bottle
  • 2 tbsp. calendula blossoms
  • Small bowl or cup
  • 2 Tbsp. cold pressed extra virgin olive oil
  • Strainer
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/3 cup dry milk
  • 1/3 cup epsom salts
  • 3 tsp. cocoa butter
  • 5 drops jasmine essential oil
  • Bath bomb molds
  1. Step 1

Mix the water and witch hazel in a small spray bottle. Shake the bottle and set it aside.

  2. Step 2

Place the calendula blossoms in a small bowl or cup and pour the olive oil over the top. Allow the mixture to infuse for 2 to 3 hours. Strain the infusion, discard the blossoms and set the olive oil aside.

  3. Step 3

Combine the cornstarch, citric acid, baking soda, dry milk and epsom salts in a mixing bowl, and stir well.

  4. Step 4

Put the cocoa butter in a glass measuring cup and put it in the microwave for a few seconds, just until it's soft. Mix the softened cocoa butter with the dry ingredients, and add the infused olive oil and jasmine essential oil.

  5. Step 5

Spritz the mixture with the water and witch hazel spray, using enough to make a thick consistency. Work very quickly, mixing with your hands. The therapy bath bomb will soon start to fizz once the water and witch hazel are added.

  6. Step 6

Press the mixture very tightly into bath bomb molds and let them dry for a few minutes before removing them from the molds.

  7. Step 7

Use one therapeutic bath bomb in a tub of warm water. Soak and relax.
