  • Instant coffee
  • Cold water
  • Brown sugar or flavored syrup
  • Cream
  • Pitcher or container with pour spout
  • Hand mixer or electric mixer
  • Tall glass
  • Ice cubes
  • Extras (whip cream, chocolate sprinkles, peppermint candy sticks)

Instructions

      Place 1 tsp. of instant coffee, 1 cup of cold water, 1 tsp. of brown sugar or flavored syrup and as much cream as you like into a pitcher or container with a pour spout.

      Use a hand mixer or electric mixer to blend the ingredients until a generous foam is created. When it seems there is nothing but foam, you are done mixing your Greek frappe.

      Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour your foamy mixture over the top. If you like, you can add whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, a peppermint candy stick or any other garnish you like.

      Stick a straw into your cold coffee. Sip and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can make a traditional Greek frappe without a mixer as well. Add all of the ingredients to a jar with a tight fitting lid or a drink mixer. Add half of the water to the mixer and the other half to a glass full of ice. Shake until foamy and them pour into the glass, stirring with the straw.
