1
Make your tinted moisturizer in a small tub or baby food jar with a tight fitting lid. Mix only a small amount at first, taking notes of any changes in the recipe so that you can recreate your perfect mix later.
-
2
Measure 1 tsp. of liquid foundation into your chosen container. Make sure that your selected foundation matches your skin tone as closely as possible. If you cannot match your skin tone exactly, it is better to go a bit lighter than darker to keep the touch of color as natural as possible.

3
Add 2 tsp. of an oil-free sunscreen made for your face. Oil-free UV moisturizers are the best option for tinted moisturizers as they reduce shine and add a touch of healthy color while protecting your delicate skin from the rays of the sun.
-
4
Place 1/2 tsp. of illuminating powder to your mix if you like. Illuminating powder will help to give your skin a beautiful yet subtle glow. This step is completely optional.
-
5
Mix the ingredients thoroughly with a Popsicle stick or makeup spatula and then test the color on your skin. You can add a bit more foundation to make the moisturizer darker, lotion to lighten it or illuminating powder for an added "dewy" look. Make sure that you take careful notes of your changes.
