How to Deal With First Date Questions
When you go on a first date, your date will likely have plenty of questions for you. Some of the questions may seem awkward and make the conversation strained. If you want to go on another date with the person, you should learn how to handle standard first date questions.

1
Be honest. If you end up in a long-term relationship with the person, any lies you tell him will likely come back to haunt you.
-
2
Choose to not answer questions that make you uncomfortable. If your date asks you how many people you have slept with, you can refuse to answer the question. It's rude and inappropriate to ask sexual and highly personal questions on the first date.

3
Give a half answer. You can be slightly evasive when answering first date questions. Don't lie, but you don't have to give the whole story on the first date. For example, if you're unemployed and she asks you about your job, say something like, "The market's tough right now, but I'm actively looking every day."
-
4
Keep answers short. A first date is a chance to get to know each other, so keep answers short and sweet. Even if you love talking about your charity work, try to describe it briefly in order to avoid boring your date.

5
Prepare with a book like "The Art of the First Date" by Hayley and Michael DiMarco. Use the question examples to prepare your answers prior to the first date.

Tips & Warnings
Remember to ask interesting questions as well on the first date. Examples include asking what kind of music the person likes, what his favorite book or movie is, and how things ended in his last relationship.
