- Kitchen island receptacle
- Saber saw
- Power drill
- Conduit
- Armored cable
- Support bracket
- Cable connector
- Utility knife

Step 1
Use the saber saw to cut a hole in the cabinet location for the kitchen island receptacle. Place the electrical box in the whole. Tighten outside screws.

Step 2
Determine the location for the power cable. Use the drill to make a hole in the cabinet floor. Cover the cable running from the electrical box to the floor with conduit.

Insert the armored conduit into the hole in the floor. Run the cable between the service panel and inside the conduit. Use the support bracket to fasten the conduit to the cabinet.

Add the cable in the box with the cable connector. Remove the sheathing and insulation from the cable using the utility knife.

Step 5
Attach the white and black wires to the matching screws of the receptacle. Use the wire connectors to connect the grounded wire between the circuit cable and grounding pigtail. Fasten the opposite end of the pigtail to the grounding screw in the box.

Step 6
Secure the cable wires inside the box. Cover with the receptacle and screw the box ears in. Return the cover plate to the receptacle. Check to see if the circuit power goes on.
