Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Become well trained by a reputable teacher. When you wish to teach others how to master the art of Sambo, you must be proficient in its philosophy and techniques.
Step2
Get certified at a respectable institution. There are a few Sambo schools that offer certification. Not all of them are in the U.S.; there are a few schools in Canada that offer it.
Step3
Talk to your current instructor. You can become a Sambo instructor in your very own academy in many cases by being fully trained by your instructor. There are many academies that carry on this tradition, and it is a wonderful way to teach in a comfortable place.
Step4
Practice your craft on a regular basis. Every instructor of Sambo must be able to stay on top of his game. It is a challenging position to be in, and it should be taken seriously.
Step5
Bring your competition history to the table. Many Sambo instructors become qualified by simply showing their talents on the mat. As you become more and more skilled and win more tournaments, you'll possibly get a following of students who may wish to train with you.
